Weegee's Lounge's 10th Anniversary Party will be a lot of fun, and it's for a great cause -- to benefit Mozart Park. Weegee's Lounge is a unique local establishment that has been an important supporter of the arts and culture in this neighborhood.

Weegee's Lounge has been a big supporter of Armitage Arts since its inception in spring 2014.

Dance Libs with MRMP

"Dance Libs with MRMP" is an interactive dance concert by Matter of Reaction Movement Project. This evening of dance and entertainment is inspired by Mad Libs, choose your own adventure books, improvisation, and games. Music and dance will come together to create each night's dance lib. Click here for more info.

John Yost of Rhythm Revolution will be hosting a Drum Circle in Mozart Park from 4:00-5:30pm as part of Make Music Chicago. Bring your own percussion instrument, or use one that’s provided.

Monthly drum circles happen at Mozart Park on the third Friday of the month, and the next one happens on Friday, July 18th (7:30 p.m.). Click here to find out more.

Mozart Park is hosting family-friendly performances and arts activities during the Armitage Arts Festival (3-6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6th); that festival programming at Mozart Park will be presented by the Borderbend Arts Collective and Voice of the City. More info TBA.

Armitage Arts Festival

The Armitage Arts Festival is a multi-arts celebration that connects people of all ages, artists, and neighborhood organizations and businesses. This festival includes live music, literary performances and visual art, in venues along W. Armitage Avenue in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.
 
The festival venues include Mozart Park, Rosa's Lounge, Weegee's. -- with arts and crafts activities, literary readings, live music and more. The Borderbend Arts Collective, Mozart Park, Rosa's Lounge, Voice of the City, Weegee's Lounge, and other TBA organizations and businesses are partnering to present the Armitage Arts Festival.
